Noticings Chart by Lindsay Blanton

I listed Gail Gibbons' as a mulitgenre author.  She has a huge variety of topics and her books are on the line of literary nonfiction.  A few noticings in her books:

detailed pictures

appealing to a young audience

short pieces of text on each page

wide range of topics  - recycling to football books

text is written differently depending on the book

Her website gives lots of information on Gail Gibbons to find out about the author and she discusses how she writes different books.
